Program Overview

By JoAnn Falletta, Music Director

The second week of our Mozart Festival brings Maestro Anthony Parnther to Buffalo for his long-awaited Classics series debut with us. The program is beautifully varied: Mozart’s joyful "Haffner" Symphony, and his last and most beloved violin concerto, with superstar Aubree Oliverson making her debut with us as well. Anthony has chosen two fascinating pieces from Mozart's world—works by his contemporaries, Joseph Bologne and Maria Theresia von Paradis—and the Maestro will share the stories of their lives in this exciting program.

Welcome, Anthony and Aubree!
