We have selected a variety of readings for you tonight from modern Irish poetry to classic short stories familiar to all of you. We have included a short story written by Irish actor Sheelagh Cullen ("Christmas in our House") and read by the author herself tonight; two poems by Kerry poet Siobhan de Bhal; and Hans Christian Andersen’s "The Little Match Girl." Some of what you will hear tonight includes: "‘Twas the Night before Christmas," "The Magic of Christmas," "Journey of the Magi," and "Mrs. Fogarty’s Cake!" The Kerry Voice Squad will sing traditional carols, including "Carol of the Bells," "The Boar’s Head," and "The Twelve Days of Christmas." Added to this will be superb dance from The Kerry Dance Troupe led by world champion dancer Tyler Schwartz and traditional music from The Kerry Traditional Orchestra. We hope you enjoy our weaving of magic for you through the art and beauty of storytelling, song, dance and music!
