Traditional English Folk Song
arr. Philip Kern
arr. Carl Strommen
This recital is comprised of a great variety of songs which I am thrilled to be performing. A couple of these pieces are homages to events that have happened here at Shenandoah, others to people and friends I’ve met during my time here. I am proud to be performing all of these songs, as the one thing all of them have in common is my emotional connection to them.
I would like to thank my parents for supporting me and ultimately making this performance and my degree possible, my pianist Karen for her time and attention to my music and for being a sounding board for musical decisions, and my voice teacher Dr. Green for her relentless encouragement and support.
Peter George is from the studio of Kathryn Green. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice).
