CAKE’s signature “deadpan brilliance” (The New Yorker) shines on fan favorites like “Going the Distance,” “Never There,” and “Short Skirt/Long Jacket.” Originally formed as an antagonistic answer to grunge, CAKE brought a new sound to rock and has remained relevant with a peerless sound. The band’s much-anticipated ninth album is due out in 2024.
