Prepare for a double dose of indie rock when The Mountain Goats and The New Pornographers bring their catchy catalogs to Wolf Trap. Led by John Darnielle, The Mountain Goats deploy a cinematc quality to their layered songs and prolific discography spanning over 20 albums and crowd favorites like “This Year,” “No Children,” and “Up the Wolves.”
The New Pornographers, the indie supergroup helmed by A.C. Newman, jumped onto the scene with their 2000 debut album Mass Romantic, which Stereogum called “one of the greatest and most immediate power pop albums ever rendered.” The band will mix hits like “The Laws Have Changed” and “The Bleeding Heart Show” with songs from their 2023 album Continue as a Guest.
