Jesse M. Lander is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Notre Dame. He has a long-standing interest in history plays, especially those written by Shakespeare. In addition to writing on the topic, he has edited I Henry IV for The Norton Shakespeare, Third Edition, and co-edited, with John Tobin, the recent Arden Edition of King John. He is currently working on a book that treats special effects and the supernatural in Shakespeare’s plays.
