Charles is incoming Artistic Director of Santa Cruz Shakespeare. Previous roles with the company include Sir Andrew in Twelfth Night and Antonio in The Tempest; for SCS’s “Undiscovered Shakespeare” series he played Aeneas / Thersites in Troilus & Cressida and directed King John. In four seasons with Shakespeare Santa Cruz, favorite roles included Romeo and Henry V. Last year at Jewel Theatre Company, he played Bluntschli in Arms & the Man.
