Strand Legends: JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER ORCHESTRA WITH WYNTON MARSALIS (1/24) Fifteen of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today, under the leadership of trumpet extraordinaire Wynton Marsalis, return to the Strand Theatre with "Duke in Africa," a celebration of Duke Ellington's 1996 trip to Senegal and the compositions that were the result.

DOKTOR KABOOM: UNDER PRESSURE! (1/31) Equal parts interactive science, comedy and personal empowerment messages, Doktor Kaboom: Under Pressure! demonstrates physical science concepts, that are also metaphors for the real-life mental and emotional pressures some kids may feel, and shares tools and life lessons as resources for dealing with the difficulties that face us all. THE MUSIC MAN (6/9) Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy THE MUSIC MAN follows a fast-talking traveling salesman as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band – despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for the town librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen.
