Sutton Foster

SUTTON FOSTER is a Tony Award winning actress, singer and dancer who can currently be seen reprising her role as Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress for a limited run in Los Angeles, following an acclaimed turn in the Broadway revival. Prior, Foster was seen starring as Mrs. Lovett in the Tony Award winning Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

The two-time Tony winning actress starred as Marian Paroo in the 2022 Broadway Revival of The Music Man, earning her seventh Tony Award nomination as well as the coveted 2022 Drama League Distinguished Performance Award.

In the summer of 2021, Foster reprised one of her most notable roles as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes at the Barbican Theatre in London in which she earned an Oliver Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. A cinematic version of the show saw a limited release in the US and Australia. Her original performance in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival earned her a 2011 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

Foster starred as The Baker’s Wife in the Hollywood Bowl’s 2019 production of Into the Woods. Previously, she appeared in the title role of the New Group’s 50th anniversary revival of Sweet Charity and in Jeanine Tesori and Brian Crawley’s Tony-nominated Broadway revival, Violet. Foster also appeared on stage as Queenie in New York City Center Encores! Off-Center’s production of The Wild Party in July 2015.

Foster starred as Millie Dillmount in the 2002 Broadway production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Originating the role, she established herself as one of the greatest talents in the industry and earned her first Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical. Foster has originated numerous notable roles, including Princess Fiona in Jeanine Tesori and David Lindsay-Abaire’s Shrek the Musical, and Inga in Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan’s Young Frankenstein.

Foster’s performance as Janet Van De Graaff in Casey Nicholaw’s The Drowsy Chaperone in 2006 earned her Tony Award, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Ovation Award nominations. Other theater credits include Les Misérables, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Annie and Grease.

In addition, Foster made her Off-Broadway debut as Prudence in Paul Weitz’s comedy, Trust.

Kelli O'Hara

KELLI O’HARA has established herself as one of Broadway’s greatest leading ladies. The Tony Award winner, Emmy, SAG and Grammynominated actress has appeared in twelve Broadway shows for which she has garnered eight Tony Award nominations.

O’Hara won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, along with Grammy, Drama League and Outer Critics nominations for her portrayal of Anna Leonowens in The King and I. Her other Broadway credits include Kiss Me Kate, The Bridges of Madison County, Nice Work If You Can Get It, South Pacific, The Pajama Game, The Light in the Piazza, Sweet Smell of Success, Follies, Dracula, and Jekyll & Hyde.

O’Hara received an Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of Katie Bonner in Topic’s hit web series, The Accidental Wolf, and can currently be seen on HBO’s The Gilded Age, which was nominated for a SAG award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for Season 2. Additional film and television credits include Showtime’s Master of Sex, 13 Reasons Why, Blue Bloods, All My Children, All the Bright Places, Peter Pan Live!, Sex & The City 2, Martin Scorsese’s The Key to Reserva, The Good Fight, N3mbers and Car Talk.

In 2015, she made history as the first artist to crossover from Broadway to Opera when she made her Metropolitan Opera debut in Lehar’s The Merry Widow opposite Renée Fleming and in 2018 returned as Despina in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte. She was last seen at The Metropolitan Opera as Laura Brown in the world premiere of Kevin Puts’ The Hours, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Opera Recording.

O’Hara is a frequent performer on PBS’s live telecasts and The Kennedy Center Honors, and performs often alongside The New York Philharmonic and The New York Pops. Along with her two Grammy nominations, her solo albums—Always and Wonder in the World—are available on Ghostlight.

O’Hara recently completed a critically-acclaimed limited Broadway engagement of the new musical Days of Wine and Roses, which also garnered rave reviews during its Off-Broadway run at The Atlantic Theatre Company. She won the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Broadway Musical, in addition to receiving Tony and Drama League Nominations for her role.

Up next, O’Hara will star opposite Tom Hanks in the new Off-Broadway play This World of Tomorrow before returning to Broadway this spring in the revival of Fallen Angels opposite Rose Byrne.

MICHAEL RAFTER is the music director/arranger for Sutton Foster, with whom he has appeared with the New York Pops, on Live From Lincoln Center, and in more than 100 concerts worldwide. Rafter served as music director/conductor of Broadway’s Funny Girl, Violet, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Sound of Music, The King and I, Gypsy, The Most Happy Fella, Sweet Charity, Swing, Les Misérables and The Tap Dance Kid; his Off Broadway credits include Merrily We Roll Along and Violet.

Rafter’s film and television credits include Marriage Story, CODA, Annette, Music and Lyrics, Did You Hear About the Morgans?, The Tonight Show (with both Johnny Carson and Jimmy Fallon), Gypsy starring Bette Midler (for which he received an Emmy Award for music direction), and Broadway’s Best on Bravo with such artists as Trisha Yearwood, Kevin Bacon, Joan Osborne, Mandy Moore, Cyndi Lauper, Darius Rucker and Shawn Colvin. He has been music director/conductor for The American Songbook series at Alice Tully Hall, and he conducted an evening of Jule Styne’s music with the Memphis Symphony and Tulsa Philharmonic orchestras.

LAWRENCE GOLAN currently serves as Music Director/Conductor of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra (Washington) and the York Symphony Orchestra (Pennsylvania). In addition, he is conductor of the Lamont Symphony Orchestra & Opera Theatre at the University of Denver (Colorado), Music Director Laureate of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra, and Official Conductor of the Concurso Internacional de Piano Compositores de España in Madrid, Spain.

Having conducted throughout the United States and in Bulgaria, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, England, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, Golan continues to develop relationships with orchestras nationally and abroad.

An accomplished violinist, Golan served as Principal Second Violinist of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra (1989-90) and then Concertmaster of the Portland Symphony Orchestra for eleven years (1990-01) before focusing his career on the podium. He has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and continues to perform, primarily to benefit the orchestras of which he is Music Director.

Golan was the Grand Prize Winner of the 2024 St. Cecilia International Music Competition in the UK and was also awarded First Prize in four different categories, both as conductor and composer. In addition, he is a 10-time winner of ASCAP Awards for the Innovative Programming of Contemporary Music, 5-time Global Music Award winner, 3-time American Prize winner, 3-time Downbeat Magazine Award winner, and 2-time Prestige Music Award winner. He was the Grand Prize Winner of the American Prize in Orchestral Programming and the First Place winner of the Ictus International Music Competition. Golan has made numerous commercial recordings, both as conductor and violinist, many of which have garnered international awards.
