OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW
"If this is any indication of what Old Crow Medicine Show still has in store so many recordings in its career, we should count ourselves lucky.” – NPR Music
Old Crow Medicine Show got their start busking on street corners in 1998, from New York state and up through Canada, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina, where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his festival, MerleFest, and the rest is history.
It’s been over 20 years since these humble beginnings. The band has gone on to receive the honor of being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry and have won two GRAMMY Awards: “Best Folk Album” for Remedy (2014) and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express (2013). Additionally, their classic single, “Wagon Wheel,” received the RIAA’s Double-Platinum certification in 2019 for selling over 2,000,000 copies while the band’s debut album O.C.M.S. has been certified Gold (500,000 copies). The band’s latest GRAMMY-nominated album Jubilee (Aug 2023) released via ATO Records.

PALMYRA
Palmyra is a Virginia-based trio blending traditional folk instrumentation with the energy of indie rock, creating a sound that’s both rootsy and contemporary. Formed by Mānoa Bell, Teddy Chipouras and Sasha Landon while studying at James Madison University, the band quickly took their music on the road, building a dedicated following throughout the East Coast with relentless touring and a series of EPs and singles.
Their debut album, Restless, released by Oh Boy Records, showcases Palmyra’s distinctive mix of folk, rock, soul and Americana. The trio’s songs explore identity, growing up, self-acceptance, and the complexities of modern life with an emotional honesty that has drawn comparisons to The Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show. With upright bass, guitars, mandolin, mandocello and banjo at the core of their sound, Palmyra delivers music that can be equally intimate, cathartic and anthemic.
